The National's Sport cover for the Monday, June 22 issue, featuring Andy Murray as he took the title at Queen's Club ahead of next Monday's start to Wimbledon 2015.
Murray will seek a second Wimbledon title and third grand slam victory overall in fine form, with his 2013 SW19 triumph coming on the heels of Queen’s Club honours.
The Scot is in fine form, putting in a spirited challenge to Novak Djokovic at the French Open semis and with three titles in the bag this year.
He said he felt strong ahead of Wimbledon.
“It’s been a great week for me and hopefully I can continue that form through to Wimbledon,” Murray said. “Obviously you want to go to Wimbledon with matches under your belt on grass. Now I need to make sure I use the next seven days as best as possible.
“I want to continue playing this way through Wimbledon, I need to keep practising hard, playing well and we’ll see what happens in a couple of weeks. I’m looking forward to it.”
For a breakdown of what to expect at the All England Club, listen to Jon Turner and Graham Caygill offer their thoughts and predictions for Wimbledon 2015 in the Extra Time podcast, as well.
