Jose Mourinho, the Real Madrid coach, will have his appeal against his five-match touchline ban heard at Uefa's headquarters today.
European soccer's ruling body said the Portuguese would attend the hearing in Switzerland. Real are attempting to reduce the sanction which followed his sending-off in the turbulent semi-final first leg Champions League match at home to Barcelona last season.
Mourinho, who was also banned for "an inappropriate statement" after his team's 2-0 defeat at the Bernabeu, said he was not bothered by the hearing.
"For me, it is not an important appointment," he told the sports daily Marca. "I want to arrive in Madrid before five o'clock in the evening to train my team."
Mourinho, who served the first match of his ban in the return leg against the eventual champions Barcelona, was also fined €50,000 (Dh262,797).
The fifth match of his ban has been suspended for a probationary period of three years."
Mourinho said he is was more focused on the new Primera Liga season and trying to win the title from Barcelona after finishing runners-up last season.
While refusing to promise that Real would take the title, Mourinho said he expected a stronger challenge from his men this year.
"Football is not mathematics and nobody can guarantee this will happen this season, but my second seasons are always better," he said.
The season begins when they meet Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Supercup on August 14, ahead of the league season starting a week later.

Who was Alfred Nobel?
