IPL: Rajasthan miss chance to move top of table

Mumbai Indians 187-5 in 20 overs (Ambati Rayudu 53, Lendl Simmons 28; Dhaval Kulkarni 2-26) beat Rajasthan Royals 179-7 in 20 overs (Sanju Samson 76, Shane Watson 28; Mitchell McClenaghan 3-31). A 76 from Sanju Samson was not enough for Rajashtan Royals to reach their target of 188 Friday night as Mumbai won by eight runs at Wankhede Stadium.

Kings XI Punjab, 118-9 in 20 overs (David Miller 42, Axar Patel 22; Nathan Coulter-Nile 4-20) lost to Delhi Daredevils 119-1 in 13.5 overs (Shreyas Iyer 54, Mayank Agarwal 52; Shardul Thakur 1-38). Delhi Daredevils gutted Kings XI Punjab’s top order in their last home match of the group stage, then blew past the opposition’s target of 118 by nine wickets. Zaheer Khan claimed a wicket in each of his first two overs, while JP Duminy and Nathan Coulter-Nile chipped in with wickets of their own.
