BLACKBURN // Paul Ince is putting his faith in Blackburn's unfashionable players to spring a surprise against Chelsea.
A combination of injuries and suspensions means Ince will be forced to look to striker Jason Roberts and unsung midfielder Keith Andrews against the Premier League leaders today.
For Andrews in particular it will be a huge test given that last season he was playing in League Two for Ince's former club MK Dons.
Ince said: "He is a goal-scoring midfielder. When he was at Milton Keynes he got 14 goals from midfield and you don't lose that knack, he has got a fantastic shot on him.
"I don't think we shoot enough and he's come in and had a few efforts and it was only a matter of time before he scored. He'll get better and better.
"He's only played a couple of games but it proves there are players down in that league. Keith has shown in the last couple of games that he was a real bargain.
"We are under no illusions. Technically Chelsea are better players than us, they are world-class players, but we can't afford to be in fear of them.
"If we work as hard as we can and get a little bit of luck, who knows. We'll have a go at them, that's for sure."
The striker Roque Santa Cruz remains a big doubt while Benni McCarthy is suspended, meaning Roberts, who signed a new three-year deal this week, is a certain starter and Ince believes he can give Chelsea skipper John Terry a run for his money

New UK refugee system
- A new “core protection” for refugees moving from permanent to a more basic, temporary protection

What is the FNC?
The Federal National Council is one of five federal authorities established by the UAE constitution. It held its first session on December 2, 1972, a year to the day after Federation.
It has 40 members, eight of whom are women. The members represent the UAE population through each of the emirates. Abu Dhabi and Dubai have eight members each, Sharjah and Ras al Khaimah six, and Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain have four.
They bring Emirati issues to the council for debate and put those concerns to ministers summoned for questioning.
The FNC’s main functions include passing, amending or rejecting federal draft laws, discussing international treaties and agreements, and offering recommendations on general subjects raised during sessions.
Federal draft laws must first pass through the FNC for recommendations when members can amend the laws to suit the needs of citizens. The draft laws are then forwarded to the Cabinet for consideration and approval.
Since 2006, half of the members have been elected by UAE citizens to serve four-year terms and the other half are appointed by the Ruler’s Courts of the seven emirates.
In the 2015 elections, 78 of the 252 candidates were women. Women also represented 48 per cent of all voters and 67 per cent of the voters were under the age of 40.
