Imran Tahir was magnificent yesterday, much more magnificent than anyone could have anticipated.
The 34 year old replaced Robin Peterson in South Africa's spin attack and decimated Pakistan's batsmen, claiming five wickets for just 32 runs across 13 overs. For a bowler who's almost been exclusively involved in T20 this year, his return to Test cricket had to be satisfying.
“It is a great opportunity I have to represent South Africa and play for the No 1 team in the world. That is more important to me than anything else," he said.
Listen to his full thoughts on an innings in which he stole the spotlight as the Day 2 morning session rolls along in Dubai.
