Huntelaar close to Stuttgart move

The Real Madrid sporting director Miguel Pardeza says the Dutch striker has not toured with the team in anticipation.

MADRID // Real Madrid are close to agreeing the sale of striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar to the Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart, the Real sporting director Miguel Pardeza said. The Dutch international has become surplus to requirements after Real's recent spending spree and did not travel with the squad on their preseason trip to Dublin on Monday. "We are in very advanced talks with Stuttgart and the best thing to do was to find a solution," Pardeza told Spanish radio.

"I think the player was aware of this and opted to stay in Madrid to see if a final resolution can be found." * Reuters
