BEIJING // Britain won the men's team pursuit gold medal at the Laoshan velodrome, knocking nearly two seconds off the world record they set yesterday. The team of Ed Clancy, Paul Manning, Geraint Thomas and individual pursuit gold medallist Bradley Wiggins finished the 4,000 metres in three minutes, 53.314 seconds, almost overlapping the silver medal-winning Denmark team. New Zealand beat archrivals Australia to take the bronze medal.
