Andre Russell makes the cover of The National Sport on Friday, April 1 after hitting the winning runs in West Indies' successful chase of India's 192 for two target in their World Twenty20 semi-final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.

Russell (43no) shared splendid 80 off just 39 balls with Lendl Simmons, who remained unbeaten on 82 off 51 balls, to guide West Indies past India's imposing target.

Both the main protagonists, Simmons and Virat Kohli, enjoyed the luck of lottery winners, but in a clash of contrasting batting styles, it was the West Indian brand of power-hitting that prevailed.
