UAE and Bert van Marwijk enjoyed a dream start to the World Cup 2022 qualifiers as the eased to a 5-0 victory against Indonesia in Dubai, making it two victories from two outings.
Khalil Ibrahim scored the opener on 41 minutes at the Al Maktoum Stadium before Ali Mabkhout chipped in with a second-half hat-trick. Tariq Ahmed finished things off with a goal moments before the final whistle.
However, the UAE know there will be tougher tests ahead. They travel to Thailand next, playing their third qualifier on Tuesday on the outskirts of Bangkok. But now, it's time to celebrate.
