•Manchester United will be anxious for a lift in Europe after another defeat in the Premier League last weekend left them an incredible 18 points behind leaders Liverpool only 11 games into the season.

United languish in 10th spot, but they have the chance to go for silverware in the Europa League, where they already top Group L ahead of the match against Partizan Belgrade on Thursday.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be tempted to rotate his line-up, though he cannot afford any mistakes with AZ Alkmaar trailing by only two points and Partizan one further back.

United won 1-0 away to the same opponents a fortnight ago, an Anthony Martial penalty making the difference, though defender Harry Maguire was the man of the match. The same result this time would go a long way to securing a place in the Europa League knockout stages and some relief for Solksjaer.
