Joe Willock crashed a late equaliser in off the crossbar to give Newcastle a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park.

The on-loan Arsenal midfielder came on as a substitute as the home side chased the game, and got the leveller to the delight of both his current employers, as well as his parent club.

Relegation-threatened Newcastle had briefly held the lead when Joelinton struck a rare goal in the first half.

The visitors were level within 90 seconds, though, and Harry Kane doubled his and his side's tally to give Spurs the advantage in the first half.

Although the hosts left it late to draw level, the fact they had 21 shots to 11 by Spurs suggests they were good value for at least a share of the spoils.
