'We did something incredible' Manchester City make history with 21 wins in succession - in pictures

Manchester City's latest victory saw them extend the all-time record for English top-flight clubs.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Wolves 4-1 for a 21st successive win, seven more than the achievements of Preston in 1891-92 and Arsenal in 1987.

During that time they have reached the final of the League Cup, the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and taken control of their last-16 Champions League tie against Borussia Monchengladbach.

"In winter time in England it's hell and in that time we did something incredible," Guardiola said. "It's more than remarkable.

"The players have all my compliments but Liverpool have the crown. To win the Premier League we need those points."

The last time City failed to win a game was against West Bromwich Albion on December 15, when they were held to a 1-1 draw.

Since then, there have been 15 successive victories in the Premier League, plus two wins in the League Cup, three in the FA Cup, and one in the Champions League.

City will be hoping to extend that run to 22 when they take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

City looked confident right from the start, taking the lead with just two minutes gone as Sterling outjumped Rob Holding to head in Mahrez's cross.

Borussia Monchengladbach 0 Manchester City 1, Champions League, February 24

Silva headed in a wonderful cross from Joao Cancelo to open the scoring, before the same two players combined to lay on the second for Jesus.

City struck three times in the final 10 minutes, with Gabriel Jesus grabbing two, as City held off an unexpected Wolves fightback to claim a deserved win.

Dubai works towards better air quality by 2021

Dubai is on a mission to record good air quality for 90 per cent of the year – up from 86 per cent annually today – by 2021.

The municipality plans to have seven mobile air-monitoring stations by 2020 to capture more accurate data in hourly and daily trends of pollution.

These will be on the Palm Jumeirah, Al Qusais, Muhaisnah, Rashidiyah, Al Wasl, Al Quoz and Dubai Investment Park.

“It will allow real-time responding for emergency cases,” said Khaldoon Al Daraji, first environment safety officer at the municipality.

“We’re in a good position except for the cases that are out of our hands, such as sandstorms.

“Sandstorms are our main concern because the UAE is just a receiver.

“The hotspots are Iran, Saudi Arabia and southern Iraq, but we’re working hard with the region to reduce the cycle of sandstorm generation.”

Mr Al Daraji said monitoring as it stood covered 47 per cent of Dubai.

There are 12 fixed stations in the emirate, but Dubai also receives information from monitors belonging to other entities.

“There are 25 stations in total,” Mr Al Daraji said.

“We added new technology and equipment used for the first time for the detection of heavy metals.

“A hundred parameters can be detected but we want to expand it to make sure that the data captured can allow a baseline study in some areas to ensure they are well positioned.”
