Jurgen Klopp 'should stick to his own business', says Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos

German manager described Ramos as 'ruthless and brutal' for his challenges on Salah and Karius in the Uefa Champions League final

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has continued his feud with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, criticising the German's record in finals.

Ramos was involved in a tussle with Mohamed Salah that saw the Egyptian forward limp off the field with a shoulder injury during the Uefa Champions League final in May. Madrid went on to win the match in Kiev 3-1 to claim a third successive title.

Klopp was asked during pre-season about the incident, which the German described as "ruthless and brutal".

Klopp also took exception to a collision by Ramos on Loris Karius, where the Spanish defender was accused of using his elbow on the Liverpool goalkeeper.

It later emerged Karius had suffered concussion, which was blamed for his errors during the final defeat.

Speaking on the eve of the Uefa Super Cup against city rivals Atletico Madrid, Ramos was asked for his thoughts on Klopp's continued criticism.

"It's not the first final [Klopp] has lost, he should stick to his own business," Ramos told reporters in Tallinn.

"Some of us have been operating at a very high level for many years, I'm not sure he can say the same."

However, despite the animosity between the pair, Ramos revealed he actually voted for Klopp in the Uefa Manager of the Year awards.

"When we voted on the best managers I voted for him, so he can relax," the 32-year-old Spain international said.
