  • Benjamin Mendy – 3. Gave away a silly penalty toward the end of a shambolic display. Often caught out of position, most notably to allow Castagne space to set up Vardy’s second. The Frenchman looked set be the next great Premier League left-back before a succession of injuries struck. If he’s to recover that form, he’s got a long way to go. EPA

Leicester City secured a sensational 5-2 Premier League win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Riyad Mahrez scored a sublime goal in the fourth minute as City began brightly. However, Leicester City were level before half time when Jamie Vardy won and converted a penalty.

Vardy scored his second to give Leicester the lead with a magnificent flick finish after the interval, before completing his hat-trick with a second penalty.

Substitute James Maddison made it 4-1 with a stunning long-range effort, and Nathan Ake reduced the deficit with a header with six minutes remaining. Any hopes of a late City fightback were dashed when Youri Tielemans tucked away Leicester's third penalty of the game after Maddison was brought down by Benjamin Mendy.
