Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez has said he is "dreaming big and hoping for great success" after completing his two-year loan move to German giants Bayern Munich.
Rodriguez, 26, joins the Bundesliga champions from Primera Liga winners Real Madrid after finding his game-time limited since Zinedine Zidane took charge at the Bernabeu in January 2016.
The move to Bayern sees Rodriguez reunite with his former Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who was determined to sign the player he took to the Spanish capital in 2014. Bayern have the option to make the move permanent after two seasons.
"I’m very happy and looking forward to being at a huge club and in a great team," Rodriguez told the club's TV channel.
"Everyone knows what FC Bayern stands for and what the club is about.
"It’s a new culture, a new club, a new life. But I’m really fired up, I’m dreaming big, and I’m hoping for great success here."
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed he had been urged by Ancelotti to sign Rodriguez and was pleased to conclude the deal swiftly.
"Signing James Rodríguez was our coach Carlo Ancelotti's biggest wish," Rummenigge said.
"We're delighted we've been able to complete this transfer.
"James is a very versatile player. He's a goalscorer himself, he sets up a lot of goals and on top of that he's great from set-pieces.
"There's no question that this transfer further increases the quality in our team."
