  EVERTON PLAYER RATINGS: Robin Olsen, 6 - Called into action a little more than he might have expected in the opening quarter of an hour, first beating Adam Reach’s rocket behind for a corner before Andre Green fired straight at the Swede. AFP

  Seamus Coleman, 7 - A confident, composed display as you’d expect from the Everton skipper, who must have thought he’d assisted the opener when his super cross from the right found the head of Richarlison, but the bar came to the rescue. AFP

  Yerry Mina, 7 - Read the danger well to step-in and steal possession as Adam Reach and Josh Windass looked to play a neat one-two, and the towering Colombian powered Everton into a 3-0 lead with a colossal header. Reuters

  James Rodriguez, 8 - It’s fair to say he didn’t particularly enjoy his previous FA Cup experience against Rotherham, but he showed his class against the Owls with some wonderful threaded passes and calculated set-pieces which saw him register two assists. Getty Images

  Gylfi Sigurdsson, 7 - Like Rodriguez alongside him, the Iceland man caused problems with some inviting deliveries into the box and he wasn’t too far away from grabbing a goal with a whipped strike that just evaded Wildsmith’s far post. Reuters

  Richarlison, 8 - The forward twice thought he’d scored as Joe Wildsmith scrambled his header onto the bar before the offside flag thwarted him a few minutes later, but he got his reward when he headed in Rodriguez’s corner after the break. Reuters

  SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY PLAYER RATINGS: Joe Wildsmith, 5 - He’ll be hoping this one won’t live long in the memory as Calvert-Lewin converted on the slide after the goalkeeper failed to get a hand on Andre Gomes’ low cross, and he was well-beaten by headers from Richarlison and Yerry Mina. Reuters

  Osaze Urhoghide, 6 - One of Wednesday’s stars last time the Owls saw off Premier League opponents, the young defender showed good awareness to see off an early driving run from Richarlison and later did just about enough to deny the Brazilian a tap-in. Getty Images

  Ciaran Brennan, 6 - One of two teenaged defenders in the visiting XI, but it proved to be a humbling evening. Despite that, he didn’t actually do much wrong and produced a brilliant header to turn Calvert-Lewin’s header off the line and behind for a corner. PA

  SUBS: Josh Windass, 6 - There was only one thing on the striker’s mind as he instinctively went for goal after a Wednesday free-kick took a nick of Rodriguez, but Olsen saved comfortably, and he fired his next effort straight into the body of Mason Holgate. PA

Everton booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round on Sunday night after a 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Goodison Park.

England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring with his 15th goal of the season just before the half-hour mark. Brazilian forward Richarlison doubled the hosts' advantage midway through the second half before Yerry Mina added the third three minutes later.

A routine win for the Premier League side against second-tier opposition was notable for the debut of Thierry Small, who came off the bench to become Everton's youngest ever player at the age of 16 years of 176 days.

Everton will face either Wycombe Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur for a place in the sixth round.
