Harry Kane ‘happy’ at Tottenham amid reported interest from Real Madrid and Man United

Harry Kane has moved to quell rumours surrounding his future after reports emerged linking the striker with a move away from Tottenham.

Kane, 22, has continued his form from last season’s incredible breakthrough year to guide Spurs into Premier League title contention, scoring 11 goals.

Indeed, his equalising penalty against Leicester City in the 2-2 FA Cup third round draw was his 50th goal for Tottenham, and such goal-scoring consistency has led to speculation of interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Premier League talking points: Manchester United's problem is not Rooney, it's Schweinsteiger

However, Kane is squarely focused on his Tottenham future and has no plans to leave his boyhood club.

“There will always be rumours flying about but I’m happy here. The club is in good shape and we have a great future, so I’m raring to go and we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“We have a lot of young players who are getting better with each game. We are getting more experience with every game we play and we can only improve.”

On Wednesday, Kane and Tottenham will again face Leicester, this time in the Premier League, but the England international insists Sunday’s FA Cup meeting will have little bearing on the outcome of the league encounter.

“I think it will be a different game in the Premier League,” Kane said. “Both teams are near the top of the table so we’re looking forward to that one.

“This was a little taster and now we play them Wednesday and the week after as well. We’ll have seen enough of them by then! Hopefully we’ll take some points off them.”
