Gareth Bale took part in Wales training as the national side prepared for the upcoming friendly against the USA on Thursday.

Bale, 31, who is on a season-long loan at Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, looked in good spirits alongside teammates Ben Davies, Chris Gunter and Ethan Ampadu as they fine tuned their preparations for the match in Cardiff.

The USA game comes ahead next week's Nations League double-header against Republic of Ireland and Finland. Wales top League B Group 4 on 10 points, one ahead of the Finns.

The session was overseen by assistant manager Robert Page, with Ryan Giggs having temporarily stepped down after being charged with assault last week, an allegation the 4 6-year-old denies.

As well as taking part in training drills, the Wales squad also observed a two-minute silence to commemorate Armistice Day to honour soldiers who had died fighting to protect Britain.
