Worrying end to the night for Tottenham and England striker

  EVERTON RATINGS: Jordan Pickford: 6 – Unable to do much for both Kane goals, which were both finished well. Made routine saves and distributed well for Everton. Getty

  Mason Holgate: 4 – One of the two players at fault for the first and second goal, getting on his knees attempting a diving header after Keane’s misjudged header and allowing Kane a simple finish for the first. The second goal was a mistake between the two again, putting it on a plate for Kane. Reuters

  Alex Iwobi: 6 – The 24-year-old had a very quiet evening, rarely receiving the ball or threatening like his Everton teammates, which resulted in a substitution after the hour mark. Reuters

  Gylfi Sigurdsson: 8 - Sigurdsson converted from the spot to bring Everton level in the first half and then scored his second just after the hour mark with a brilliant finish. His attacking prowess caused Spurs problems throughout and his two goals rounded off the performance. AP

  Richarlison: 6 – The forward’s running on the ball caused problems for the Tottenham backline but he was unable to take the two big chances presented to him, one in each half, from dangerous positions. Reuters

  SUBS: Seamus Coleman (Iwobi 61’) – 7 - Made an instant impact off the bench, crossing the ball in for Sigurdsson’s second goal and offering attacking intent for the home side. Reuters

  Josh King (Davies 83’) – N/R – The forward came off the bench as a last roll of the dice for Everton to win the game. Had one big opportunity to score but Lloris prevented the Norwegian. AFP

  TOTTENHAM RATINGS: Hugo Lloris: 7 – Was unable to prevent the penalty, but made a save from Richarlison in the first half that kept Spurs level. The goalkeeper was also unable to prevent Sigurdsson’s second sweetly struck goal, but he made a vital stop late on to prevent King. AFP

  Joe Rodon: 6 – The Welshman looked shaky at times. He was unable to deal with the runs made by Everton players, particularly Richarlison. Reuters

  Toby Alderweireld: 6 – Lost track of Sigurdsson for his second goal, allowing him the time and space to score. The defender had an otherwise quiet night at the back. Reuters

  Eric Dier: 6 – The 27-year-old had a solid game, offering support when coming out with the ball on the left-hand-side. The defender may have been able to take a better position to stop the ball landing for Sigurdsson for the second goal. AP

  Sergio Reguillon: 5 – The Spaniard had a tough evening on the left, giving away a penalty from a clumsy challenge and he wasn’t able to impact the game offensively, with Godfrey often getting the better of him. Reuters

  Moussa Sissoko: 6 -The midfielder was unable to feed the ball into the feet of Kane centrally throughout the game, though he did have more of an influence when he started to run at the Everton back line. Reuters

  Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: 6 – The Dane picked up an early yellow card that could have limited his ball-winning ability, but the midfielder still provided enough protection for his backline. Reuters

  Tanguy Ndombele: 6 – The 24-year-old wasn’t able to have the same impact as his attacking midfield counterparts. Ndombele rarely got in positions to receive the ball or make things happen for Tottenham, though his cross - coupled with poor defending from the home side – set up Kane for his first. AP

  Serge Aurier: 6 – The wing-back covered the right flank well, showing some attacking intent but also making sure the defensive duties were covered. Reuters

  Harry Kane: 7 – The England captain scored his 20th goal of the season that sent him to seventh in the all-time Premier League scoring charts. He scored again in the second half courtesy of a mistake that fell kindly. Came off limping, which will be a concern to Spurs and England fans. Reuters

  Heung-Min Son: 6 – Got into one or two dangerous positions but was unable to finish from difficult angles. He was isolated at times, and on one occasion went on a solo run, which deserved a goal. AFP

  SUBS: Erik Lamela (For Ndombele 64’) – 6 – Came on to change the dynamic and immediately set up Kane for the second goal. Reuters

  Lucas Moura (For Reguillon 64’) – 6 – Had very little impact off the bench, picking the ball up in a few dangerous positions but not changing the game too much. AFP

  Dele Alli (For Kane 90’) – N/R – Came on after Kane’s injury and didn’t have enough time on to impact the game. Reuters

Tottenham's Harry Kane moved clear at the top of the season's Premier League scoring charts but his double in a 2-2 draw at Everton was overshadowed by a late injury.

Kane took his tally to 21 with a goal in each half but Gylfi Sigurdsson also scored twice for the hosts in a draw that did little for either side's fading top-four hopes.

Worryingly for Tottenham, and England, Kane hobbled off in stoppage time with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

"It is too early to say something. For him to leave the pitch with a few minutes to go is obviously because he felt something," said Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho, whose side play in the League Cup final next weekend.

"Let me be optimistic and believe that he has time to recover. Let's see."

The draw left Tottenham without a win in their last three games and stuck in seventh place, five points behind fourth-placed West Ham United who have played a game less.

Everton's third successive draw left them eighth, a point behind Tottenham but with a game in hand.
