Hosts claim a 4-1 win at Selhurst Park, with Eberechi Eze scoring one and setting up another

Vicente Guaita, 6 - Nothing the Spaniard could have done to stop Bamford firing home, but it was an otherwise quiet afternoon between the sticks. EPA

Nathaniel Clyne, 6 - Couldn’t quite get across his penalty area in time to make life difficult for Bamford as he tucked the ball home for 2-1 but looked after his territory well despite being outnumbered in wide areas at times. Getty Images

Cheikhou Kouyate, 6 - He’s sometimes a bit scruffy as he goes about his business but he got the job done and kept Bamford quiet for large periods. Reuters

Patrick van Aanholt, 6 - The left-back led the celebrations as Palace went 3-1 up when he got in behind the Leeds backline and saw his cross cannon off Costa in comical fashion. Forced a good save from Meslier late on as he chased a goal of his own. Getty Images

Andros Townsend, 6 - There were several opportunities for the former England man to make his mark on the game but the winger was often wasteful in dangerous positions. Replaced by Jeffrey Schlupp in the 71st minute. AFP

Jairo Riedewald, 6 - It’s always a tough assignment against a powerful Leeds side but the midfield schemer held his own with some neat touches to get his side out of trouble. Replaced by James McCarthy for the final 15 minutes or so. Reuters

James McArthur, 6 - Burrowed away and gave his side a foothold in midfield by effectively breaking up play and starting off some home counter attacks. Getty Images

Eberechi Eze, 7 - Notched his first goal for the club when he showed some tricky footwork to win himself a free kick on the edge of the box, before dusting himself down to curl a gorgeous strike home off the crossbar. AFP

Jordan Ayew, 7 - Worked tirelessly to link up play and deserved his first goal of the season when he thumped home after good work by Zaha. Replaced in the closing stages by Christian Benteke. AFP

Wilfried Zaha, 7 - Drifted in and out of the game but had a big say on Palace’s third goal with a delightful through ball into the channel for van Aanholt to chase, before laying the ball on a plate for Ayew to make it 4-1. EPA

SUBS: Jeffrey Schlupp (Townsend, 71’), N/R – A good tackle sparked a Palace counter that was ultimately wasted, but the Ghanaian kept things steady. AFP

LEEDS UNITED RATINGS: Illan Meslier, 5 - The Frenchman did get across to Dann’s first-half header and may be disappointed he couldn’t claw the ball away, and should have reacted a lot quicker to van Aanholt’s deflected cross for 3-1. Getty Images

Luke Ayling, 6 - Did well to keep Wilfried Zaha relatively quiet in the first half, but was somewhat wasteful with his diagonal passing as he looked to open up the pitch in the second half. EPA

Liam Cooper, 6 - Didn’t have the most comfortable of afternoons when dealing with the movement of Jordan Ayew, and picked up a booking when he fouled Wilfried Zaha after being dragged out of position. AP

Robin Koch, 6 - Gave away the free kick that led to Eze’s fabulous goal but wasn’t afraid to carry the ball out from the back and begin attacks. Getty Images

Pascal Struijk, 6 - Often left isolated and exposed to the Palace counter with his midfield colleagues venturing forward and should have hit the target with a header early in the second half. Brought off for Tyler Roberts as Leeds chased the game. AFP

Mateusz Klich, 6 - Played his part in Bamford’s disallowed effort with an excellent slide rule pass, before a flicked header released his attacking colleague into space for a goal that did stand. Picked up a yellow card in the 77th minute for a cynical trip on Zaha. AFP

Ezgjan Alioski, 6 - Given a fair few problems by the lively Townsend but wasn’t shy when foraying into the opposition half and forced a decent save from Guaita early in the second half. Getty Images

Stuart Dallas, 6 - Took up a central midfield brief and played the supporting role to the much more lively Klich, but it wasn’t a bad performance by any stretch and the Northern Irishman covered plenty of ground. AP

Jack Harrison, 6 - A typically busy first half from a player who loves drifting inside and giving defenders something to think about, but he will be frustrated he didn’t see much of the ball in the second half.

Patrick Bamford, 7 - Desperately unlucky to see his brilliantly taken goal chalked off for offside by VAR but he wasn’t to be denied shortly after with an excellent volley to get his side back into the game. EPA

Helder Costa, 5 - There wasn’t enough from the wide man as an attacking presence, but he will be remembered for a gut-wrenching own goal as he bizarrely deflected a cross into his own net. Replaced at half-time by Raphinha.

SUBS: Raphinha (Costa, 46’), 6 – A lively second half and the Brazilian came close with a free kick from distance that curled just wide. PA

Tyler Roberts (Struijk, 71’), N/R – Unable to inspire a miraculous Leeds comeback in his 20 minute cameo. Reuters

Leeds United fell to a third Premier League defeat in their past four games as Crystal Palace claimed an emphatic 4-1 win at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Scott Dann opened the scoring in the 12th-minute, before Eberechi Eze doubled the hosts' lead 10 minutes later.

Patrick Bamford halved the deficit but a Helder Costa own goal saw Palace regain their two-goal advantage just before half-time.

Jordan Ayew then made sure all three points would be going to Palace with his team's fourth in the 70th-minute.
