David Beckham's Inter Miami change logo to 'encourage social distancing'

MLS club's logo features two herons with their legs intertwined, but the upgraded logo has them separated

David Beckham's MLS franchise Inter Miami have altered their club badge to promote the need for social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The club's logo features two herons with their legs intertwined, but the upgraded logo has them separated.

Major League Soccer's newest club put out images of the new logo with the message: "These are unprecedented times, so we want to raise awareness by altering the club’s logo and separating the white herons, which are normally interlocked representing unity in our community, across our digital platforms to encourage social distancing."

Former Manchester United, Real Madrid and England midfielder Beckham co-owns the franchise.

They have played two matches so far, losing to Los Angeles FC and DC United.
