Chelsea and Man City win big as Liverpool end Arsenal's run: Premier League predictions

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham among the weekend's other predicted victors

After the League Cup took centre stage in midweek the Premier League is back in action this weekend.

Manchester City,Liverpool and Chelsea are all still unbeaten after 10 games of the season, while Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town are both still searching for their first victory going into the 11th round of games.

Bournemouth 1 Manchester United 2

Saturday, 4.30pm

Why? Bournemouth are going well under Eddie Howe and they have 10 points from their past four games. But, United are beginning to find their way again and with Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all on good form this can be another three points for Jose Mourinho's team to continue their renaissance.

____________

Cardiff City 0 Leicester City 3

Saturday, 7pm

Why? It has been a difficult week for Leicester off the field, but their players can bring their fans some cheer at struggling Cardiff. Leicester have the strength in the forward line, which is likely to be led again by Jamie Vardy, to prevail here.

Everton 2 Brighton & Hove Albion 0

Saturday, 7pm

Why? Everton have improved under Marco Silva after a wobbly start and there are plenty of goals in them in the form of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson. They should have too much for Brighton, who themselves have impressed of late with three wins in a row moving them up to mid-table.

Newcastle United 0 Watford 2

Saturday, 7pm

Why? It has been a miserable start for Newcastle with no victories in their opening three games. They come up against an in-form Watford, who have lost only once on their travels so far this season and have Roberto Pereyra in great touch in front of goal with five already netted this season.

West Ham United 2 Burnley 1

Saturday, 7pm

Why? One of the hardest games of the weekend to call. West Ham can be great one week, but then poor the next. Likewise Burnley. West Ham though do have a little more quality and should have Marko Arnautovic available again after illness so this should give them the edge.

Arsenal 1 Liverpool 2

Saturday, 9.30pm

Why? Arsenal have not lost in the Premier League since August, but they have not played any of their top six rivals since then either. Unai Emery's men have done well of late but will find Liverpool a much more tough proposition. With Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane back among the goals this should be a victory for Liverpool.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0 Tottenham Hotspur 1

Saturday, 11.45pm

Why? Wolves have had their best blip since being back in the Premier League, with two defeats and no goals in a row. That will not improve here as Tottenham have been solid in defence and Mauricio Pochettino's men will prevail.

Manchester City 3 Southampton 0

Sunday, 7pm

Why? This should be a comfortable day's work for City. Southampton lack threat going forward and their defence will be unlikely to cope with the pace of Sergio Aguero and the rest of City's dynamic forward line.

Chelsea 3 Crystal Palace 0

Sunday, 8pm

Why? The ominous sign for the rest of the Premier League is that Chelsea put four past Burnley last weekend without Eden Hazard. Alvaro Morata looks to be finding his best form again, and with Hazard back from injury as well this should be a comfortable win.

Huddersfield Town 1 Fulham 2

Tuesday, 12am

Why? Two teams in awful form and this is a clear relegation six-pointer, even if it is the first weekend of November. Both sides are toiling, but Fulham can score goals, even if they cannot keep them out at the other end and Aleksandar Mitrovic and Andre Schurrle can give them an important three points here.
