Liverpool made it three games without a win this weekend after falling to a narrow defeat at Southampton.

That loss at St Mary's, following hot on the heels of frustrating draws against West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle, has meant that Manchester United have drawn level on points with Jurgen Klopp's men at the top of the Premier League.

United, meanwhile, were made work for their three points as they saw off Aston Villa 2-1 at Old Trafford.

The pressure grows on Chelsea manager Frank Lampard after their comprehensive 3-1 defeat against Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side face-off against rivals United in the League Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

Resurgent Arsenal have now won three on-the-spin after thrashing struggling West Brom 4-0 at the Hawthorns.

Reflecting on the latest round of Premier League games, Richard Jolly has selected his team of the weekend in the photo gallery above. To move on to the next photo, click on the arrows or if using a mobile device, simply swipe.
