Al Wahda regained second spot in the Adnoc Pro League after a resounding 4-2 away win over Emirates on Monday.

Omar Khrbin opened the scoring for the visitors in the 15th minute with a curling left footer from outside the area before Adrian Martins doubled it 10 minutes later.

Saeed Al Kaabi pulled one back shortly for Emirates four minutes from half time with the Emirati winger tapping in a pass from Goseph Gnado to the back of an empty net off a counter attack.

Joao Pedro regained the two-goal led with a spot kick five minutes into the second half from a penalty awarded when the Brazilian was pulled down inside the area.

Khrbin fired in his second goal of the match on the hour when the Syrian international met Abdulla Al Kaabi's pass with a powerful header that nestled into the far corner of the net.

Emirates closed the gap again when Edarlyn Reyes guided a superb pass towards Gnado down the right and the Ivorian forward whipped over a precise cross for Waleed Sabbar to finish it off from inside the six-yard box.

Wahda took their tally to 42 points, four behind leaders Al Ain who meet Al Wasl on Tuesday night at the Hazza bin Zayed stadium.

Elsewhere, Al Dhafra thumped Ajman 3-0 at the Hamdan bin Zayed stadium and Kalba clinched an away win over Al Orooba 1-0.

Ajman midfielder Bilal Yousif turned one into his own net to give Dhafra a 36th minute lead before late strikes from Waleed Ambar and Lucas Silva sealed the game for the home side.

Peniel Mlapa scored from a spot kick eight minutes from time for Kalba to end a seven-match winless run at the Fujairah stadium.

The win raised Kalba’s tally to 23, at 10th position.
