Afghanistan's players, including captain Rashid Khan, built up a lot of sweat on Thursday as they trained in a hot Abu Dhabi.

The session at Zayed Cricket Stadium saw the players work on fitness and included a number of sprint exercises.

The squad is preparing for a three-week tour of Bangladesh in September.

Proceedings begin with a match against a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI on September 1 in Chattogram.

They play their lone Test match of the tour against Bangladesh from September 5, again in Chattogram.

They will also play four other matches in Bangladesh after the Test, two against the host nation and two against Zimbabwe.

The tour comes after Afghanistan competed at the Cricket World Cup in England earlier in the summer.
