Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was in devastating form during the PSL match in Karachi on Sunday.

Lahore Qalandars' left-arm pacer Afridi was in red-hot form as he picked up 3-27 to set up a six-wicket win over defending champions Karachi Kings.

Afridi cranked up the speed to 151 kph (94 mph) as he beat Karachi batsmen for pace. He helped restrict Karachi to 186-9 despite half-centuries by Sharjeel Khan (64) and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi (57).

Afridi could have picked up more wickets but Lahore captain Sohail Akhtar dropped a sitter in the first over.

Babar was clean bowled by an Afridi in-swinger in his second over after Zaman failed to hold onto a sharp chance offered by Pakistan’s top batsman.

Afridi then finished things off when he clean bowled Waqas Maqsood and Mohammed Amir off yorkers in the last over.

Bowling partner Haris Rauf was not too far behind in the pace department. Right-arm quick Rauf was clocked at 148 kph (92mph).
