New Zealand's Ashley wins men's windsurfing gold

QINGDAO // The New Zealand windsurfer Tom Ashley has won gold in the men's RS:X class. Julien Bontemps of France won the silver medal and the Israeli Shahar Zubari took bronze. Bontemps was just one point ahead of Ashley and Nick Dempsey of Great Britain after 10 races leading into the final, which counts double. Zubari was nine points behind the lead, but came back strongly to take second in the medal race behind Chan King Yin of Hong Kong to clinch the bronze medal.
