DELHI CAPITALS RATINGS: Prithvi Shaw – 4. A second single-figure score – either side of his half-century last time out – as he nicked off to Bhuvneshwar’s fifth ball. Sportzpics for BCCI

Shikhar Dhawan – 6. Failed to fire against his former teammates, crawling to 34 before edging behind off Rashid Khan. Sportzpics for BCCI

Shreyas Iyer – 5. His rash shot to the second ball bowled by danger-man Rashid Khan was a clue to the fact going was tough. Sportzpics for BCCI

Rishabh Pant – 6. There was an uncharacteristic lack of intent to his batting as he barely got above a run a ball. Sportzpics for BCCI

Shimron Hetmyer – 6. Two big sixes as he hit 21 off 12, only to fall while aiming for a third off Bhuvneshwar. Sportzpics for BCCI

Marcus Stoinis – 6. Unable to repeat his heroics from last week as he was undone by some fine death bowling by Natarajan. Sportzpics for BCCI

Axar Patel – 6. Curious that Delhi’s most economical bowler in the tournament so far should only bowl two overs, all because they feared matching him up against Warner. Sportzpics for BCCI

Amit Mishra – 7. Picked up the key wickets of Warner and Pandey, while going for 35 from his four overs of leg spin. Sportzpics for BCCI

Kagiso Rabada – 8. Hyderabad could not get him away in either the powerplay or the death overs, and he had the prize scalps of Bairstow and Williamson. Sportzpics for BCCI

Anrich Nortje – 6. Four and six off his last two balls put a hole in his figures. The four was lucky, the six was naïve on Nortje’s part. Sportzpics for BCCI

Ishant Sharma – 6. A lone six was the only time his bowling was sent to the boundary, but he did not look overly threatening. Sportzpics for BCCI

SUNRISERS HYDERABAD RATINGS: David Warner – 7. Looked miffed to be given out caught behind on review, when the spike was minimal on the snicko. He was in good touch at that point, on 45 off 33. Sportzpics for BCCI

Jonny Bairstow – 7. Not so fluent, but another half-century for the prolific Sunrisers opener – his fifth score in excess of 50 in seven innings since September 8. Sportzpics for BCCI

Manish Pandey – 5. On the back of a fine innings last time out, but he came and went quickly this time, making three off five balls before holing out. Important catch to dismiss Pant. Sportzpics for BCCI

Kane Williamson – 8. Remarkable how quickly he got the pace of the pitch on his return to the side, as he made 41 from 26. Vipin Pawar / Sportzpics for BCCI

Abdul Samad – 7. The 18-year-old batsman from Jammu and Kashmir showed some raw power as he launched Nortje into the stands. Sportzpics for BCCI

Abhishek Sharma – 6. Got the one ball he faced, from Rabada, away for two – only to see one of those chalked off. Back to back sixes by Pant ruined his bowling figures. Sportzpics for BCCI

Priyam Garg – 6. The youngster must be starting to feel like the team mascot. He has been at both the last two matches without getting a chance to do anything. Sportzpics for BCCI

Rashid Khan – 9. The Afghan leg-spinner was right on top of his game, as he took three for 14 from his four overs. Sportzpics for BCCI

Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 8. Revelled in defending a medium-sized total. He got rid of Shaw and Hetmyer and went for just 25. Sportzpics for BCCI

Thangarasu Natarajan – 8. He continues to have problems with his run up, but it did not affect what he did at the other end of the pitch. Superb yorker bowling, and rewarded with Stoinis’ wicket. Sportzpics for BCCI

Khaleel Ahmed – 5. The loosest of the bowlers in an otherwise strong defence by Hyderabad. Being hit for six off the final ball when the game was already won sort of summed it up. Sportzpics for BCCI

The Afghanistan leg-spinner took three for 14 from four overs as the previously winless Hyderabad beat the league leaders.

Jonny Bairstow hit his second half-century of the tournament, and Kane Williamson made a quick-fire 41 on his first appearance of the campaign as Hyderabad made 162-4.

The Capitals chase failed to spark in reply, with Shikhar Dhawan top scoring with 34 from 31 balls as they made 147-7.
