IPL 2020 playoffs: Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata all in the race

A look at who can progress from the league phase

  ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE: Currently in second position with 14 points, a win against Delhi Capitals on Monday will see them through. Have a net run rate of -0.145, which means they can still go through if they lose by a narrow margin and don't slip below Kolkata, who are fourth on 14 points with a NRR of -0.214. Will then need to hope Sunrisers don't defeat Mumbai, since Hyderabad will climb to 14 points and have a superior NRR. Sportzpics for BCCI

  DELHI CAPITALS: Same equation as Royal Challengers Bangalore, with a net run rate of -0.159. Would want to make sure of progression by winning. The alternative is avoid a heavy defeat and hope Sunrisers Hyderabad don't win. Sportzpics for BCCI

  KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS: Their league phase is over. Have done themselves a huge favour with a 60-run victory in a must-win match against Rajasthan Royals. Fourth in the table, with 14 points and a NRR of -0.214. If either Delhi or Bangalore lose heavily, Kolkata are guaranteed to make the playoffs. Sportzpics for BCCI

  SUNRISERS HYDERABAD: Have a simple proposition - defeat Mumbai Indians on Tuesday and qualify for the playoffs, as they have the best NRR of 0.555. Sportzpics for BCCI

  KINGS XI PUNJAB: Needed to defeat Chennai Super Kings to progress. Instead crashed and burned in a nine-wicket defeat. Another unsuccessful campaign. Sportzpics for BCCI

  CHENNAI SUPER KINGS: Their campaign has long been over. Finished the season by taking Kings XI Punjab down. with them Sportzpics for BCCI

  RAJASTHAN ROYALS: Looked good at the start of the tournament and were bolstered by the addition of Ben Stokes. But disintegrated as the season wore on and go home with the wooden spoon. Sportzpics for BCCI

Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals exited the race for IPL 2020 playoffs following heavy defeats on Sunday.

Punjab were thrashed by nine wickets by Chennai Super Kings, while Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan by 60 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore play Delhi Capitals on Monday while Sunrisers Hyderabad conclude the league phase against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
