Three of India’s brightest young talents combined to lift Kolkata Knight Riders to a 37-run win over Rajasthan Royals in Dubai.

Shubman Gill, 21, top scored for Kolkata as they made 174-6 off their 20 overs in their first game at the Dubai International Stadium of the tournament so far.

Shivam Mavi, 21, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti, 20, then took four wickets between them as the previously unbeaten Rajasthan capitulated to 137-9 from their 20 overs.

The win moved KKR above Rajasthan into second place in the league table, with Delhi Capitals restored to top spot on net run-rate.
