India great MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday, calling time on an iconic career that witnessed every possible peak.

After 16 years on the international stage, Dhoni decided to retire having last played during the semi-final defeat to New Zealand at the 2019 World Cup in England in July.

Dhoni retires with more than 15,000 runs and 800 dismissals as a keeper at the international stage. He has also won every major ICC trophy – the only cricketer to do so.
