China beat champions Germany for place in final

BEIJING // China surprisingly defeated the Olympic champions Germany 3-2 to reach the final of the women's hockey tournament. The unfancied Chinese team came from behind twice before pulling ahead of a nervous German side that made countless defensive errors. China will play the winners of the second semi-final between the tournament's top ranked team the Netherlands and Argentina that will be played later on today.
