England recalled James Anderson in place of the injured Stuart Broad for the sixth one-day international against Australia, with spinner Graeme Swann back in place of Adil Rashid. Anderson returns to the line-up at Trent Bridge after a two-match rest and replaces Broad, who has been ruled out of the remaining two matches of the series with inflammation of the knee. Swann, meanwhile, was restored after Yorkshire leg-spinner Rashid was preferred for the last two matches. Australia named Brett Lee and James Hopes in place of rested pair Michael Clarke and Mitchell Johnson. Ricky Ponting won his first toss of the series and opted to bat.
