Al Jazira ensured they remained in touching distance of Arabian Gulf League leaders Al Ain with a 3-0 victory over Kalba on Friday night.

After a goalless first half, Jazira struck early after the interval with Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini breaking the deadlock.

Jazira had to wait until the 83rd minute for their second, a fine effort by winger Jonathan Petroipa, who played a neat one-two with UAE striker Ali Mabkhout.

Mabkhout then got himself on the scoresheet with an impressive solo effort.

The victory means Al Jazira remain four points behind Al Ain with five matches remaining.

Here is a selection of images from Friday night’s game at the Kalba Stadium.
