A draw suits Kuwait

Kuwait joined Oman in the semi-finals despite letting a lead slip against Group A strugglers Iraq. Khaled Khalaf put Kuwait one up on 37 minutes. However, Iraq, who had shipped seven goals in their previous two games, fought back and equalised through Alaa Abdul Zahra. Kuwait finished second in the group with five points after two draws and a 1-0 victory over Bahrain.
