The city's potential to develop tourism is immense, especially as the number of transit passengers at our airport has been steadily increasing, while a growing number of cruise ships have been calling at our port. Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority's plan, as The National reported yesterday, to brand the city as an archaeological, adventure and shopping destination makes sense. When Louvre Abu Dhabi opens its doors, it will also boost tourism to the cultural attractions of Saadiyat Island.
