So-called grey-water recycling from sinks, baths and showers should be progressed with urgency (Nuclear power 'vital' to meet Middle East's water demand, June 23).
This semi-clean water could be filtered and used for flushing toilets and watering gardens and landscaping areas. It would dramatically reduce the amount of water consumption in this country. Where are the plans for that?
It was happening in the United Kingdom more than 10 years ago and the UK doesn’t have the water supply issues experienced here.

Questions over Dana gas bonds
A lot has been written about Dana Gas’s latest announcement claiming that it came to know lately that its bonds were non-Sharia complaint. Then it managed to obtain a verdict from Sharjah Federal Court to its favour.
What needs to be challenged, in my opinion, is whether Sharjah Federal Court is the right body to handle such a case.
Shouldn’t a Sharia court be consulted in the matter as the issue is related to Sharia?

Regarding the article Retiring in the UAE: A guide on how to live and work here past the retirement age, June 16, not everyone can afford the investor visa or property visa.
At a time when incomes are dwindling and the cost of living rising, such ideas are not viable for the majority.
This is only meant for the wealthy.
