Healthy running

Get to know fellow athletes and break the solitary of jogging by entering a road race

As a newspaper, we take healthy living seriously. From our annual #CycleToWork campaign to the #StartWalking challenge, we want to help people embrace a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise. From March 20 to April 18, we are encouraging people to walk 10,000 steps per day for one month. But it is not just walking that we want to encourage, it is running as well.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, has called on all athletes in the UAE to take part in Saturday’s International Zayed Charity Marathon at Yas Circuit. Running can be an important part of any active lifestyle but is often a solitary pursuit, but joining this kind of race puts runners in contact with thousands of like-minded people with whom one can train and relate. Let’s answer Sheikh Nahyan’s call and make the International Zayed Charity Marathon the day the UAE runs.
