You must have noticed that happiness has become a common topic for discussion. These conversations are taking place everywhere, especially on social media. This is encouraging considering the turbulence this region is going through. People want peace – they want to live happily. What better time than Ramadan to keep the mind occupied with such thoughts? The question is what makes us happy. One thing many say makes them happy is a great family life.
Some tweeted that an ideal way to spend a holiday would be to visit a place with family, while others believed that there was nothing more enjoyable than an early morning family gathering and being around the loved ones. “It’s the site of my mother’s smiling face that makes me most happy,” said one user.
There are some who have a different perspective. For example, one user wondered whether there is anything called happiness. There’s nothing surprising about it. We know that happiness is a blessing that everyone doesn’t enjoy. So if you are happy, remember to thank the Almighty.

Water waste
In the UAE’s arid climate, small shrubs, bushes and flower beds usually require about six litres of water per square metre, daily. That increases to 12 litres per square metre a day for small trees, and 300 litres for palm trees.
Horticulturists suggest the best time for watering is before 8am or after 6pm, when water won't be dried up by the sun.
A global report published by the Water Resources Institute in August, ranked the UAE 10th out of 164 nations where water supplies are most stretched.
The Emirates is the world’s third largest per capita water consumer after the US and Canada.
