Mattar Al Tayer, director general of the RTA, said the second phase of the Hessa Street Development would be crucial to easing traffic challenges
Dubai is investing heavily in its road infrastructure to meet the demands of a growing population
The upgrade project will expand existing roads to help cut travel times
The traffic capacity of the route will double from 4,000 to 8,000 vehicles per hour
Transport authorities said the improvements will benefit about 650,000 people living in communities served by Hessa Street
