Much like the dress (was it white and gold, or blue and black? You remember), and also Yanny or Laurel-gate of years gone by, another illusion is going viral online.

Watch this video with a friend and try to decide which way the person is swinging in this delightfully snowy scene.

If you did watch it with a friend, like we asked, and both saw something different, it's possible that you're currently bickering about which of you is right, freezing frames (pun intended) to prove a point and squabbling over the position of the legs and the bars.

You only have to listen to the video to know you're not alone in the fact you have differing opinions.

"They're bent this way," one woman says. "Oh no, I am still a bit confused," replies another. While a confident man adds, "I'll bet you $500 cash right now".

While the video originally appeared on TikTok, the debate rages across many social platforms, particularly Twitter (where people love to argue pithily).

There are plenty of people who think the person is facing towards the camera.

For the record, I see the swinger's legs facing towards the building, while the three people sitting around me in the office see the person swinging towards the camera.

My opinion appears to be the unpopular option both on the internet, and in my office, but I'm sticking with it.
