Indian actress Sonam Kapoor, who tested positive for swine flu on Saturday, February 28 at a hospital in Rajkot, Gujarat, is on the road to recovery, her spokesperson said on Monday, March 2.

“We are releasing this to set the record straight. Sonam has been detected with swine flu but it’s under control,” the statement said. “She has been shifted to a hospital in Mumbai and she’s showing signs of a speedy recovery. Hopefully she should be back at work soon. We thank all her fans and the industry alike for the love and support they have shown her.”

Kapoor was moved to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai early on the morning of Sunday, March 1. Hospital director Dr Ram Narain said: “Sonam Kapoor is stable and is under observation in our ward.”

The actress was admitted to Sterling Hospital in Rajkot on February 28 after she took ill on the set of Sooraj Barjatya's romantic drama Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, the Hindustan Times reported.

“Sonam Kapoor, who was being treated at the Sterling hospital for swine flu infection has been taken to Mumbai today by an air-ambulance,” said Dr Kamal Parikh, the medical director of Sterling Hospital.

Kapoor’s mother, who had flown to Gujarat to be with her daughter, accompanied her on the flight to Mumbai, where the family is based.

According to The Hindu, a team from Rajkot's district health department visited the film's crew on February 28, but no tests were conducted because "no influenza-like symptoms were seen".

Kapoor was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in early February after contracting a respiratory tract infection.

Three ways to boost your credit score

Marwan Lutfi says the core fundamentals that drive better payment behaviour and can improve your credit score are:

1. Make sure you make your payments on time;

2. Limit the number of products you borrow on: the more loans and credit cards you have, the more it will affect your credit score;

3. Don't max out all your debts: how much you maximise those credit facilities will have an impact. If you have five credit cards and utilise 90 per cent of that credit, it will negatively affect your score.

Other simple ideas for sushi rice dishes

Cheat’s nigiri
This is easier to make than sushi rolls. With damp hands, form the cooled rice into small tablet shapes. Place slices of fresh, raw salmon, mackerel or trout (or smoked salmon) lightly touched with wasabi, then press, wasabi side-down, onto the rice. Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger.

Easy omurice
This fusion dish combines Asian fried rice with a western omelette. To make, fry cooked and cooled sushi rice with chopped vegetables such as carrot and onion and lashings of sweet-tangy ketchup, then wrap in a soft egg omelette.

Deconstructed sushi salad platter
This makes a great, fuss-free sharing meal. Arrange sushi rice on a platter or board, then fill the space with all your favourite sushi ingredients (edamame beans, cooked prawns or tuna, tempura veggies, pickled ginger and chilli tofu), with a dressing or dipping sauce on the side.
