Fairmont The Palm introduces more Aquaspin classes

Fairmont The Palm has added more Aquaspin fitness classes, bringing their total to nine a week.

The fun and interactive class uses stationary bicycles submerged in water, so participants benefit from the water resistance when they pedal. Additionally, the water offers reduced pressure on joints, making the classes ideal for post-operation recovery. You can even burn up to 800 calories in a session, versus 500 for a regular spin class.

“Aquaspin provides a very special aquatic massage, which boosts blood circulation, reduces lactic acid build-up (reduced muscle soreness) and enhances the lymphatic drainage,” said Alicia Antonuccio, co-founder of Aqua Spin Pte Ltd. “This will lead to a reduction of metabolic waste in the body which increases vitality and your body’s ability to flush out toxins and fat.”

• Mondays at 7.15am, 8.30pm and 6.30pm; Wednesdays at 6.30pm; Thursdays at 7.15am and 8.30am; Fridays at 6pm; Saturdays at 9am and 6pm, from Dh75, ages 18+, South Residence Pool, Fairmont The Palm, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, reservations at 04 457 3330, www.fairmont.com/palm
