Etihad Airways staff who are in self-isolation around the UAE are showing support for the country they call home by singing the national anthem.

In an Etihad project called "from our home to yours, we stand united", pilots, cabin crew and ground staff from the UAE's national airline filmed short clips of themselves wearing their uniforms and singing the national anthem.

The majority of Etihad's crew are in quarantine at home.

The airline's passenger services in and out of the UAE are grounded due to travel restrictions put in place to help contain the spread of Covid-19.

Etihad continues to operate cargo flights and repatriation flights to help take travellers to their home countries.

First regular repatriation flight departs Abu Dhabi

From today, Sunday, April 5, some Etihad crew members were back in the skies as the airline introduced regular repatriation services.

Flight EY876 departed Abu Dhabi International Airport for South Korea at 9.50am.

The flight is taking travellers from the UAE back to their home country. It is scheduled to land in Seoul before 9pm on Sunday evening.
