The Dubai-based low-cost carrier Flydubai has launched an online package holiday division, allowing travellers to book flights, hotels and other services from one site. Packages are currently available to countries including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Tanzania, Bosnia, Turkey, Serbia, Russia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
The company said it was able to offer competitively priced packages because it was able to source wholesale hotel rates by third parties and combine them with their already low-cost flights.
A six-night break in Kathmandu, Nepal, for example, travelling for six nights from April 21, comes in at Dh2,138 per person including accommodation at the Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu; a weekend break in Jordan departing on April 28, with two nights at the ibis Amman hotel, costs from Dh1,350 per person.
The website holidays.flydubai.com is available in English, Arabic and Russian.
