Emirates to add second daily flight between Dubai and London Stansted

The new flight will offer a wider variety of arrival times and more convenient connections

Travelling between Dubai and the United Kingdom is about to become even more convenient as Emirates announces a second daily flight to London Stansted.

The additional flight will come into operation on July 1, 2019 to meet “steady demand” to and from the region, Emirates says.

Operated by the airline's Boeing 777-300ER, the new flight will bring the total number of daily Emirates flights to and from three London airports to 11.

It is hoped the additional London Stansted flight will boost tourism by offering travellers a morning or night arrival in Dubai, as well as improved connection times for passengers heading on to destinations such as Australia, India, South Africa, China and Malaysia, averaging at around two-and-a-half hours.

Stansted is to the north-east of London, providing easy access to Essex and the east coast of the UK, and is a convenient route for international students travelling to Cambridge University.

“We continuously seek ways to maximise convenience and flexibility for our customers and the second daily flight combined with the optimal travel schedules will do exactly that; provide a seamless travel experience with Emirates,” said Hubert Frach, Emirates divisional senior vice president, commercial operations west.

The first daily flight from Dubai to London Stansted will operate as EK65, departing Dubai at 9am and arriving in London Stansted at 1.30pm local time. The return flight, EK66, will depart London Stansted at 3pm local time and arrive in Dubai at 1.05am the following day. The second daily flight from Dubai to London Stansted will operate as EK67, departing Dubai at 2.15pm and arriving in London Stansted at 6.45pm local time. The return flight, EK68, will depart London Stansted at 9.10pm and arrive in Dubai at 7.10am the following day.

The new flight will offer three-class configurations, with six private suites in first class, 42 fully flat beds in business class and 306 seats in economy class.
