Football museum opens in Switzerland
Football fans can now visit the first Fifa World Football Museum at the home of the organisation in Zurich, Switzerland. More than 1,000 exhibits, including historic documents, books, videos and pictures, commemorate all 209 member associations around the world. The museum has 3,000 square metres of exhibition space across three floors, plus a restaurant, cafe bar and library, in its building in Zurich Enge, west of the city centre. Four Seasons Abu Dhabi takes bookings
The new Four Seasons Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island is accepting reservations for bookings from May 1. The capital's first Four Seasons is a 34-storey glass tower with 200 rooms and suites, six restaurants and a spa complex with a rooftop pool. It will have air-conditioned indoor access to The Galleria mall, Cleveland Clinic and Abu Dhabi Global Market Square. The cheapest rate for the opening night is Dh1,148 for a double room, including taxes. The hotel is the third in the Canadian management company's UAE portfolio; the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach opened in December 2014, and the Four Seasons DIFC opened earlier this month. A women’s only tour of Egypt
The World at Her Feet, a Dubai-based women's travel company, is offering a group tour to Egypt departing on April 22. The week-long trip will take in Cairo, Memphis, Luxor, Giza and a Nile cruise, costing from US$1,400 (Dh5,142) per person, including accommodation, all meals, domestic flights, tours and excursions, but excluding international flights. German hotel group opens Dubai outpost
The German hotel brand Steigenberger has opened its first property in the GCC with a new hotel in Dubai's Business Bay. Steigenberger currently operates 29 hotels in Germany and six in Egypt, with about a dozen others in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, China, Turkey, Spain and Belgium. The Dubai hotel occupies a new 20-storey tower, with 365 rooms. Three food-and-beverage outlets are open, with three more to come, including Brothaus, a bakery-style cafe; Paulaner Biergarten, with live entertainment; and a pool bar.
