Many a resident of the UAE has been wowed by the aerial displays across the region, and with another one due to land in the capital next weekend, this photo is timely.
It was taken on January 27, 2008 at the Al Ain International Aerobatics Show at the local airport.
The United Kingdom’s Guinot Wing Walkers team certainly had the attention of the gathering media, with all cameras poised to capture the perfect shot.
While the popular Al Ain Air Championship, as it became known, is not in the wings again anytime soon, plane enthusiasts needn’t worry. All eyes will return to the skies over the Abu Dhabi Corniche next weekend for the 11th edition of the Red Bull Air Race.
And just as the world’s top pilots have done in Al Ain, Red Bull’s best are sure to have everyone in Abu Dhabi on February 2-3 flying high.
