Officials in a northern New Jersey town are discussing whether to allow taping of an MTV show featuring Nicole Snooki Polizzi’s wedding.
The cast member of the reality series Jersey Shore Snooki and JWoww spin-off intends to marry her fiance, Jionni LaValle, at the Venetian banquet hall in Garfield in autumn. The couple have a 1-year-old son.
Polizzi’s website says she’s planning a Great Gatsby-themed wedding.
Mayor Joseph Delaney told The Record newspaper that taping in Garfield could be a great thing.
But Councilman Frank Calandriello has concerns about how the city would be portrayed.
The city’s attorney is reviewing the contract.
