The ride-hailing company reveals what forgetful passengers leave in their vehicles

Alongside phones, wallets, glasses and headphones, Uber customers in the UAE have managed to leave behind items of furniture, diamond jewellery and even their pets.

There have also been plenty of passports, backpacks and travel bags left behind by tourists, with Uber revealing that UAE passengers are the most forgetful on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

If you are one of the unlucky passengers to leave an item behind in your Uber, you can easily report it using the mobile app, connecting you directly with your driver, as soon as you realise it's missing.
